My name is Joel Shimer. First and foremost I would like to thank you for considering Joel Shimer Entertainment as the DJ for your next event. Weddings
At Joel Shimer Entertainment, we know that your wedding is very special. Your DJ will meet in person with you to get to know you so we can help plan your perfect wedding. We have a custom planning guide to assist you in making the important decisions regarding your ceremony and wedding reception. We can assure professionalism, value and that your day will be regarded as important to us as it is to you.
Middle School Events
Imagine your students dancing and singing along to the hottest new music and classic favorites. Now, add in the coolest lighting effects and you have a fun event! With all events we DJ music is radio-edited to remove offensive content.
College Events
What characteristics comprise a successful college DJ? Well, that DJ will need to know the college favorites and be able to get everyone pumped up. You will find your DJ has these qualites in addition to a friendly personality. We listen to what you want and create activities and events based on your school's needs that extend well beyond a DJ simply playing music.

I was very skeptical at first because of how young he was...but the first time I talked to him he was so unbelievably professional! He had a nice contract he sent to me via snail mail. I signed it and mailed the deposit. A few months later we met in person for the first time. I was taken back again by just how professional he was! We planned out our whole reception with the help of Joel who had simple but very valuable suggestions for us. My husband and I were all over the place with songs from country to Rock and Roll… and I kept telling Joel that I’m not sure this will be a dancing wedding.
